Solidarity in Action
The solidarity projects led by Solidarité Enfants des Sables aim to meet the essential needs of the most vulnerable children and families.
Our approach combines emergency aid, day-to-day support, and long-term initiatives to strengthen safety and well-being.
Today, our shelter houses provide families with a safe refuge and a caring environment.
Shelter Houses
Following the 2023 earthquake, the association provided crucial assistance to affected populations in partnership with Sport Nature Développement, the organizer of the Atlas Quest race. Their teams mobilized quickly to intervene in several remote villages.
Step 1 – Emergency Response
. 108 tents set up urgently in six villages (douars) to house displaced families
. 2 school tents established to allow children to resume their education
Step 2 – Rebuilding for the Future
. 43 shelter houses built in Laabassen, a remote village located 2,200 meters above sea level, to rehouse families impacted by the disaster
